Blok Plaatmateriaal since its inception, under the name Houthandel Blok in 1981, has grown into a medium-sized timber and sheet materials branche that specializes in providing timber, sheet and decorative sheet.
The launch started from a warehouse of 250m² and eight years later this was not suitable anymore and they built a new warehouse. The growth continued steady progress and the customer base was increased with more and more contractors, interior designers and furniture manufacturers.
The growth mainly came from customers within the interior design, project phasing and furniture manufacturing. The range was expanded in breadth and depth with mainly decorative panels. Very deliberately they chose to be a dealer of mainly top brands in decorative sheet material and it still forms the basis of the current range.
Since January 2002, Blok Plaatmateriaal houses in a modern building with approximately 6000m² warehouse space, a sleek office and a spacious showroom. Also Blok Plaatbewerking was founded in the same year to meet the growing demand for customized products.
Since July 2013 the name has been changed to Blok Plaatmateriaal Beverwijk. The term “sheet material” is better suited to the content that Blok Plaatmateriaal currently stands for, and that is to supply: High-quality branded products for interior design, project phasing and furniture production.
Beginning in July 2013 the 2nd branch in Ede has opened its doors. With over 2.500 m2 of storage capacity in the middle of the Netherlands, they enhance their national coverage and as board material supplier respond even better to the needs of their customers.
