Interface is a global leader in the design and production of carpet tiles. Its products combine beauty and innovation with functionality and environmental credentials to help customers bring their design vision to life.

Their mission, Climate Take Back™, invites the industry to join them as they commit to running their business in a way that is restorative to the planet and creates a climate fit for life.

Interface was one of the first companies to publicly commit to sustainability, when it made a pledge in the mid-nineties to eliminate its impact on the environment by 2020. Known as Mission Zero, it influences every aspect of the business and inspires the company to continually push the boundaries in order to achieve its goal.

Interface is now more than half way to reaching Mission Zero and has been widely recognized for its achievements to date. In 2012 the company was named the ‘Most Sustainable Large Corporate’ at the International Green awards. Its products have also achieved several awards, specifically for design and innovation.

The modular carpet tiles of Interface give the opportunity to mix and match colours, patterns and textures, to work with unusual shapes, and to complement furniture, fittings and other elements of the zone. The objective is to help customers create ideal spaces and realize their design visions. The results are choices as exciting and variable as the many global showrooms where you will find them. The Interface carpet tiles are available in Squares and several collections 100 x 25 cm Skinny Planks. These different tile dimensions give designers a whole world of creative possibilities – with greater scope for distinct and subtle zoning throughout any interior space.

Interface was the first company in the industry to develop a product with 100% recycled nylon yarn, when it introduced Biosfera in 2011 – now one of its best selling collections ever. Nylon is one of the single largest contributors to the environmental impact of a carpet tile. For a standard product, virgin nylon yarn contributes to around 50 per cent of the total environmental impact of the carpet. A key element of Mission Zero is therefore cutting the dependence on virgin nylon yarn by phasing out the company’s reliance on virgin raw materials and increasing its use of 100 per cent recycled or bio-based materials.
