Royce Wood Studio
Royce Wood is a leading maker of handmade tiles and ceramic wall art, best known for its trademark lustrous variegated glazes, unique in the industry. The rich depth of glaze and design quality are outstanding and makes the Studio’s collection of handmade tiles amongst the finest in the world.
Each tile is hand glazed and hand-painted with no two tiles being exactly alike.
The portfolio of colours and designs has been developed over many years to produce a range that works beautifully in contemporary and traditional settings.
Peter Wood, owner at Royce Wood Studio, also develops and creates bespoke glaze solutions for terracotta rain screen cladding. The hallmark variegated ceramic glazes increasingly sought by architects and designers who wish to incorporate unique art glazed facades into their development projects. Examples of the Studio’s work can be seen on the Kaleidoscope Building, Farringdon, Abel and Clelland House and the Ceramic Building, Elephant and Castle, London.
The Showroom for the complete range of handmade tiles and ceramic wall art is located on the ground floor of the Wheelhouse at Amber Mill. Conveniently situated at the centre of England in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, amid Peak District hills.
The workshop adjoins the Mill, the heart of the Studio where we create our trademark glazes, unique in the industry, can be viewed.
