This innovation, coupled with their commitment to lower their carbon footprint across all areas of their business, has driven them to produce their first carbon negative flooring products cradle-to-gate as an important steppingstone on their sustainability journey.

What Makes a Product Carbon Negative?
The carbon negative materials in the CQuest™BioX backing, in combination with specialty yarns and tufting processes, results in a carbon negative carpet tile cradle-to-gate.

This means that Interface managed to go beyond neutral – purely based on material technical innovation – for the scopes of the creation of the product from raw materials used, transport to the factory and the manufacturing. The carbon negative footprint cradle-to-gate is third-party verified via an Environmental Product Declaration (EPDs).
