This high gloss coating is a transparent epoxy paint developed 35 years ago in the USA, but now enthusiastically used by the Dutch company Genesis PD for a wide range of innovative applications. Among these are aluminum foam, filled with a (coloured) epoxy and transparent painted bamboo board.

The coating was originally developed for the furniture industry, to preserve materials while giving them a luxurious gloss at the same time. Genesis PD takes this a step further by using the epoxy coating to pour in decorative paper sheets and small pieces like glitter and even candy on top of tabletops, signboards and other plates.

Technical facts:
– free of sulphur
– melting point at 200°C
– one layer is 1 mm thick, 2 layers will be 1.8 mm
