Interland is made of 70-80 % goat hair, depending on roll or tile format. The goat hair, a by-product of goat farming for the cashmere industry, is sourced from Inner Mongolia. The goat hair represents pre-consumer recycled content as the hair would normally be discarded being too coarse to be used for cashmere cloth.
The Carpet is created from carded fibres and formed into a continuous corrugation. They are bonded either with a PVC or Latex to a Hessian backing for the carpet rolls. The tiles have a PVC backing. The Carpet Roll is 7 mm thick, 2mtrs in width and approximately 25mtrs in length. The Tiles are 8mm thick, and 50cm by 50cm.
Both Materials are available in a wide variety of colours and are manufactured in Ireland and Germany.
