The production of Kebony is based on wood with a liquid extracted from biowaste. In the waste disposal phase, Kebony can be treated as regular untreated wood.
During the patented Kebonization-process, an environmentally-friendly liquid extraction from biomass is added to the wood. The wood is then hardened under pressure and heated. The liquid reacts with the woods cell wall and is strengthened, making it more stable, harder and weather-proof. The result is a sustainable high performance product that has the characteristics of tropical hardwoods.
Available in 3 types of wood: Scots Pine, Southern Yellow Pine and Maple.
Kebonywood can be applied to decking, cladding, roofing, furniture or all other areas where a high performance real wood is required.
