Barely distinguishable from real wood, Moduleo Impress offers the atmospheric appeal and touch of wood patterns along with the practical material advantages of indestructible vinyl. Thanks to a new ‘embossing in register’ process, it is no longer inevitable that numerous trees are sacrificed to create an authentic wooden floor feel.
‘Embossing in register’
During a highly technological production process at Moduleo’s site in Avelgem, Belgium, cylinders transfer patterns onto rolls of vinyl, which are then turned into planks. The Impress collection features the ‘embossing in the register’ technique. This special technique means the synchronous design corresponds to the original surface structure down to the smallest detail. In other words, for the first time people can now also feel the grain, knots and grooves of the patterns precisely in the spot where they should be. The result is an extremely natural and realistic rendering of wood patterns to fit any building style.
Wood with a statement
The Moduleo Impress collection offers a number of different wood effects in 22 colour and 5 distinct patterns. The weathered and rustic ‘Castle Oak’ for example offers a dramatic effect in modern and minimalist interiors. Meanwhile, ‘Scarlett Oak’ imitates traditional treatment with white lead or the so-called ceruse finish. You can find an ode to nature with the imperfect interplay of lines in ‘Country Oak’, while the warm tones and lively lines of American wood ‘Eastern Hickory’ provide individuality. Lastly, ‘Mountain Oak’ brings the undiluted charm of weathered, old and rustic wood into the home.
The advantages of vinyl planks
Impress vinyl floors do not only impress because of how they look. Due to their layers and highly technological production, today, vinyl planks have a number of unique advantages in terms of how easy they are to install, use and maintain. The Protectonite® PU protection layer of water-based lacquer ensures easy maintenance and is strongly resistant to staining and shoe marks. Moduleo floors are also hygienic, sound absorbing and almost entirely recyclable.
Made in Belgium
Moduleo’s patented concept is purposefully developed and manufactured in Belgium to provide clear added value, focusing on ecologically and economically sustainable production. CEO Jan Vergote explains, “We cherish our workforce’s specialist skills and soon the new factory’s energy will be supplied by three wind turbines. This clearly shows what we stand for: a clean way of offering consumers a pretty and fair design product.”
