For the 2023 exhibition of the Mindcraft Project, Natural Material Studio used their biotextiles in lighting objects to diffuse and spread light.

The textiles are made of a mixture of biopolymers, natural softeners and chalk. Because the material is natural, it shows natural variations, like streaks, bubbles and shifts in transparency.

Called LW-B004-1-3, the objects use tension and suspension to create sculptural works, balancing organic textures with simple forms. The textiles are suspended from bent steel sheets that supply various degrees of control and tension.
