The Dutch label Blended has launched its first collection of handcrafted wall tiles, produced in its studio in Venlo (NL). The brand focuses on reusing regional demolition and residual materials, turning them into new, high-quality interior surfaces. Through this circular approach, Blended aims to show how reused materials can form the basis for refined, durable and aesthetically balanced design applications.

Tiles With Architectural Presence

The new collection sits between a functional wall covering and a sculptural design element. The tiles feature modern geometric forms, subtle shadow lines and layered textures. This combination creates surfaces that feel calm yet detailed. Because each tile is made by hand, variations naturally emerge, giving every piece a distinct material expression.

According to founder Tom van Soest, the intention behind the collection was to create a material that offers tranquillity but also retains depth. He notes that manual production plays an important role in achieving this layered character.

These qualities make the tiles suitable for architects and interior designers working in hospitality, retail and residential environments, particularly in projects where tactile materials and subtle visual structure are valued.

Circular Materials And Local Production

Circularity forms the basis of Blended’s material strategy. Instead of using new raw materials, the studio works exclusively with selected waste streams sourced from the surrounding region. By processing demolition and residual materials into new tile formulations, the brand aims to reduce environmental impact while maintaining consistent quality.

All production takes place in-house in Venlo. This local manufacturing approach allows the team to monitor material flows, energy use and craft processes closely. As a result, Blended can ensure transparency, reduce transport-related emissions and maintain steady production quality.

The core collection includes a curated selection of colours and textures that can be integrated into a wide range of interior styles. Both design professionals and private clients can request samples and place orders directly. Short delivery times support the use of the tiles in both small and large projects.
