Building with Lego bricks made from reclaimed wood

German company TRIQBRIQ developed a timber construction system that consist of micro-modular wooden building blocks, which can stacked quickly to create loadbearing walls.

The so-called BRIQs are manufactured with high precision using robot technology from inexpensive industrial and calamity wood. The company processes storm wood, insect wood, top cuts, waste wood, sections, and much more.

The individual BRIQs are connected to the other BRIQs in the system via knobs and blind holes and locked using beech wood dowels. After use, the walls can be taken down by removing the dowels so that the BRIQs can be separated.
