Lampposts made of reclaimed materials

French architectural studio Agence TER, Studio 5•5, and lighting designing agency Concepto created lampposts made of reclaimed materials.

The 350 lampposts were installed ahead of this summer’s Olympic games in Paris. The aim is to reduce carbon emissions by 47 per cent compared to a conventional project. Agence TER and Studio 5•5 developed a low-carbon materials charter for public spaces.

The lampposts are made using decommissioned lampposts and scaffolding tubes sourced from building sites. The lamps include energy-efficient LED light sources.
