The chair with the (current) lowest eco-footprint

Called Kwart, the chair is designed by Ton Haas for Circuform, made of recycled plastic, and has an LCA of 0.25, making it the chair with the lowest eco-footprint on the market at the moment.

The chair is produced in the Netherlands and made from fully recycled polypropylene using injection moulding. It is suitable for in- and outdoor use, with an expected service live of 10 years.

In addition to being recycled, Circuform also uses a deposit system for the chair, which is paid back when the chair is returned, regardless of the condition of the chair. This deposit system also adds to the low life expectancy assessment. The plastic of the chair will be reused in Circuform’s production process.
