The activity of Cooperativa Operai Cavatori del Botticino, founded in 1932, deals with quarrying, working and marketing of Botticino Classico Marble, which is extracted from basin in the east of Brescia, in the territory of town of Botticino.

The factory is an Italian excellence in the stone industry, and it is a strong reality on the worldwide market. With almost 50 employees it follows the entire production process, that starts with the quarry and ends with the finished product. The quarry supplies over 30.000 tons of rough material that, thanks to a careful planning, guarantees the continuity of the production in terms of quantity and quality.

The two production plants cover more than 35.000 sm and allow to obtain slabs (more than 100.000 sm/year), tiles (30.000 sm/year) and finished products, achieving an average turnover of 7 million of euros.

Cooperativa Operai Cavatori del Botticino is member of:

• Consorzio Produttori Marmo Botticino Classico, that groups and supports the producers of the raw material, as founder member;
• Consorzio Marmisti Bresciani, that provides for the defense, promotion, development and rationalization of the associated companies at the local level;
• Confindustria Marmomacchine, italian association of producers of marble, granite, ornamental stones and machines and equipment for their processing.

Cooperativa Operai Cavatori del Botticino boasts highly skilled workers, that use advanced machines and equipments, with the support of a modern structure that permit high security standards in the performance of the work.

Thanks to its constant commitment in the care for quality, for safety and for the environment, as acknowledgement of efforts made in improving the whole production system, in 2016 Cooperativa Operai Cavatori del “Botticino” was audited and found to be in accordance, for each of its three operative units, with the requirements of the management system standard ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
