China produces 18 million tons of ceramic waste. Currently most of this waste is illegally dumped or buried and is not biodegradable. Most ceramic production towns do not have suitable waste management policies to resolve this problem responsibly.
Yi Design offers a circular solution for the interior and architecture industry, by transforming industrial ceramic waste into decorative, structural, and customizable tiles and bricks.
We have developed a new binding material and process to recycle and turn large volumes of ceramic waste material into usable brick and tile. It is a new type of adhesive that allows our products to achieve high recycling rates without the use of non-environmentally friendly substances such as cement and glue.
