The Sol-Gel-Dip-coating technology used is a production process for thin layers on large glass panels. The glass is dipped into different solutions of metal compounds and drawn out with defined speed.

The film on the glass surface is transformed into a metal oxide layer in the following heating process. By variation of the material and the layer thickness, the optical effect of the system can be tailored.
