Materia has landed in Beijing to present a special exhibition of building materials for the future. In collaboration with Architect@work, Materia has put together another pack show featuring the most innovative materials – specifically for the Asian market – daily in-depth lectures and on-site expertise.

We’re very happy to welcome many local professionals to the show. Materia builds bridges between designers and manufacturers, by showing off the latest and best material innovations.

One of the these is Dendrolight. Materia fans may remember this lightweight construction panel from shows such as Tekhnodrev, and it’s proving popular here too.

More great news is that the huge Chinese building and design market is shifting towards a more environmentally responsible attitude. According to the People’s Daily newspaper, the capital city alone has plans to complete 35 million m2 of green buildings within the next two years.

Materia warmly welcomes this attitude, and is supporting the approach with an entire section of the show dedicated to sustainable materials.
