Material Xperience, the annual materials event for (interior) architects and other creative professionals, will take place from 6 – 10 February 2017. 

Come to the twelfth edition of Material Xperience and let us inspire you with valuable knowledge, contacts for the present and a glimpse of what’s ahead!

What can you expect?
About 100 selected partners of Materia will display their most innovative materials at their own stands at the fair. In addition, there will be 20 special items on display. These items are often never before shown to the public that will allow the visitor a glimpse to the future. Pieces you can expect include, but are not limited to, 3D printed steel nodes, a façade of glass bricks, fabric formwork, transparent solar panels, and isolating transparent concrete.

Materia has invited several material experts who will speak about various topics.

Materia exhibition
A must-see at the Material Xperience is Materia’s very own exhibition. In this, we exhibit materials we have gathered in the past year, about 200 in total. Visitors have the chance to experience innovative materials such as Xhylo, Wootex, and Line-x, along with many others.

Materia Quiz
In order to provide vistors with information about the latest trends and materials in a fun and playful manner, Materia has developed a materials quiz. In this quiz, the most innovative variations and applications of 10 different kinds of materials will be discussed. Each kind of material is represented by its own professional material expert, whom will discuss the latest innovations, sustainability and architecture along with architects, researchers, manufacturers and the audience.

Segments
Our partners will be showing their innovations within the four segments: Floors, Roofs & Façades, Walls & Ceilings and Printing & Customisation. We also continue with the successful ‘New Kids on the Block’, an initiative supported by Materia to give small, smart up businesses the opportunity to come into contact with architects and designers.
