During SURFACE Design in Dubai, you can enjoy the MaterialDistrict Expo on 17, 18 and 19 September, with the theme My Modern Materials. This exhibition is entirely dedicated to materials for architecture and design. For this show, MaterialDistrict has created an exhibition with 100 international materials that show the important role of future materials in our direct environment.

Exhibition My Modern Materials
We are all aware of future themes: sustainability, circularity, saving energy, as well as healthy environments, smart solutions and conceptual interiors. Which materials will be vital for these themes? MaterialDistrict selected 100 materials for the special exhibition “My Modern Materials”, such as carpet made of palm leaves, tiles made of oyster shells, engineered wood, cork textile, bamboo composites, and new resources that were used to be called “waste”, like materials made of coffee grounds or acoustic felt made of recycled denim. The expo will also show you digital solutions, 3D printed materials, smart interactive materials and healthy biobased material sources.
