The Terra Collection is a series of terrazzo objects designed by Feina for Huguet, manufactured from 100% recycled terrazzo and marble aggregates combined with Green Label cement. Drawing on the traditional composition of terrazzo, the collection reuses production offcuts and discarded mineral fragments to create new objects with distinctive surface patterns.
The material is produced using leftover terrazzo, marble and hydraulic tile fragments generated during Huguet’s tile manufacturing process. Aggregates of different sizes are blended into a cementitious matrix, creating a confetti-like appearance that reflects the varied composition of the recycled materials. As a result of this handcrafted manufacturing process, each piece has a unique pattern and surface character.
Inspired by the historical use of terrazzo as a material made from reclaimed stone fragments, the collection reintroduces this circular approach by extending the life of mineral production waste. The embedded recycled aggregates replace virgin decorative stone while maintaining the durability and longevity associated with traditional terrazzo.
The collection consists of objects with simple, geometric forms that emphasise the natural texture of the cement and the visual qualities of the recycled aggregates. Colours, aggregate compositions, particle sizes and surface textures can be customised, allowing each piece to be adapted to individual project requirements.
