Feltouch Brings Modular Felt Walls and a Binder-Free Waste Brick to ORGATEC

Moulded felt modules that link together like a bicycle chain form Block, the first modular wall system from Feltouch. The acoustics brand showed it at ORGATEC 2026 in Cologne, alongside more than 25 other new products in PET felt – including a small brick made entirely from its own production leftovers.

Feltouch, founded in 2017, designs and manufactures acoustic panels, acoustic lighting and objects from PET felt for offices, hotels and restaurants. ORGATEC ran from 27 to 30 October 2026. The new products are listed in the brand’s online collection with technical documents, and new online configurators help with selecting and ordering. In the Netherlands, Feltouch works with dealer Huislijn Kantoormeubelen.

Walls That Stack and Elements That Hang

Block is made from 50% recycled PET felt and comes in all 56 Feltouch colours. Designed by Jones & Partners, its moulded modules can be combined, stacked and arranged to vary height, pattern and openness, from a low visual boundary to a semi-private zone. The same studio worked with Feltouch on Space and Raindrop, two earlier designs that won iF and Red Dot awards.

Designer Hande Özge Hıdır added Tondo, rounded felt elements hung on steel cables that divide open spaces while absorbing sound, and Trio, an 800 × 800 mm wall and ceiling panel with a soft, repeating relief. Melika Özer extended the Reborn Collection with three 3D wall panels – Union, Ridge and Rhythm – each 300 × 1200 mm and fixed with hook-and-loop fasteners, so they can run across large walls. Nova, a lay-in ceiling panel, brings the felt into suspended ceiling grids.

A Brick Without Binder

The most material-driven launch is Zero Brick. Since 2020, the brand’s Zero Burn programme has kept felt production waste out of the incinerator: a shredding machine developed for the material feeds around 140 tonnes of offcuts back into production each year. Zero Brick is pressed entirely from these leftovers, without binders. The result is a speckled tile of 150 × 300 mm, 11 mm thick and about 0.30 kg. Feltouch states a reaction-to-fire class of B-s1,d0 and sound absorption class D (αw 0.35, NRC 0.40).

Colour also got attention. Three new Mandarin shades, among them a bright blue called Space, bring the palette to 56 options: seven natural felt colours and 49 Mandarin colours. The Illusion Collection by in-house graphic designer Yiğit Bozkurt adds UV-printed felt with patterns based on wood, corten steel, travertine and natural stone.

Biobased Felt in Testing

Feltouch also previewed an acoustic panel in development that uses alternative biobased materials; it will publish material properties and end-of-life options once tests are complete. Other felt surfaces on MaterialDistrict include Silent Nature Printed Felt and BestFelt.

Book tip: Material Revolution II – a survey of materials new to the market, a good companion to recycled surfaces such as these felt products.
