Portuguese material research and design studio MESS developed wall hooks made of discarded wrapping ribbons.

Called Maraq, the colourful wall hooks are handcrafted by rolling gift ribbons collected during Christmas time, preventing them from ending up in the trash. The hooks have a metal, PLA-based or recycled wooden base. The wall hooks are handmade.

In addition to the wall hooks, MESS develops other products made of biobased or recycled materials, including tiles and a table game made with bio-resin and organic waste like pine needles and berries from roadside bushes.
