Materia has been invited by ExCo Media Ltd. to present a selection of 100 materials at the Arab Carpet & Flooring Expo in Abu Dhabi. ‘Future Materials for Soft Floors’ is the subject of this exciting new Materia exhibition.

Between October 1th and October 4th 2015, Materia will host this exclusive exhibition at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Besides the presence of Materia’s CEO Jeroen van Oostveen, Materia founder and Creative Director Els Zijlstra will also be a speaker at the International Green Carpet and Flooring Conference. Both the materials exhibition and the conference are designed to allow for maximum inspiration for all professional visitors.

This exhibition at the Arab Carpet & Flooring Expo focuses on the most advanced and inspiring materials suitable for all kinds of soft flooring applications. Whether dealing with the most important trends in current design, such as sustainable building, or the aspects of health and hygiene within a space, soft flooring materials have a lot to contribute.

The materials on display range from beautiful, high-tech materials to simple materials in a new application or new production. All of the materials will come from Materia’s growing collection of innovative materials for the design and building communities.

Soft floors are acoustic, cozy, and typically used in residential settings, offices, hotels and other spaces where a homey, soft and luxurious atmosphere is required. Materia’s exhibition at the fair will demonstrate special fibre carpet, tiles made of used leather tiles, carpets made of cactus fibre, as well as biobased, recycled and renewable materials and much more. There will be something for everyone at the Arab Carpet & Flooring Expo.
