During the Engineering Materials Trade Fair 2016, held from 6-8 December in Evenementenhal Gorinchem, the Netherlands, Materia will exhibit about 60 inspiring materials. The exhibition “Super Performing Materials” will show material innovations for all types of applications.

To design, develop and make innovative products, choosing the right material is decisive. Innovative materials can take over a large part of the function of the product and give it extra value. Especially smart materials that can react and anticipate their environment are an intriguing source of innovation. Aside from that, the demand for sustainable and new raw materials is growing, such as recyclable and biobased materials. The materials for the unstoppable new digital techniques such as 2.5D, 3D or even 4D printing, and ever stronger and lighter composites will be shown. This exhibition is a must see for thinkers, makers and doers from various sectors.

The exhibition
At Engineering Materials, Materia will show amazing examples of materials and techniques for designer and manufacturer. What about 3D printed bamboo? Or 2.5D printed surfaces? A coating that makes anything indestructible? Lightweight composites from recycled jeans, 100% biobased composites from coffee grounds, or bactericidal foil?
