The Knitwit Stable is a farm with a knitting studio in Baambrugge. It believes that it is possible to process and produce wool in a sustainable way. An important step to attain this goal is to bring the manufacturing of wool back again to the Netherlands on a small scale. The company aims to make transparency possible on a small scale in every link in the wool chain, from keeping Merino sheep and Angora goats in an animal-friendly way and the sustainable re-use of existing Dutch wool, to processing it and making it into a local, fairly produced garment.

Dutch Mohair is a blend of 78% kid and young goat mohair of the Knitwit Stable’s own sheep, 13% merino wool, 9% polyamide, knitted on a knitting machine 3gg. (Rib, Single Jersey, Yarncount: 1/2000).
