Hand-marbled fabrics

These hand-marbled fabrics by designer Sabine Spare are inspired by biomimicry and the subconscious. The fabrics are all biobased, like silk and cotton, non-toxic dyes and biodegradable liquids. The dyes are applied in a vessel with liquid, in which patterns can be drawn using tools. The washed and dried fabric is applied to the surface and takes over the patterns of the dye.

As the fabric is handmade, each piece is unique.
