HOTwood Ash Uni line 65 QC is a thermally modified timber cladding system developed for exterior façade applications. Combining ash timber with a concealed fixing method, the system is designed to provide a durable façade solution while supporting reversible construction and future material reuse.

The cladding profiles are manufactured from thermally modified ash, a process that enhances the wood’s dimensional stability and resistance to weathering without the use of chemical preservatives. The timber is PEFC-certified and is intended as an alternative to tropical hardwoods for exterior applications such as façades, soffits and architectural detailing.

The Uni line 65 QC features a profile depth of 65 mm, creating a pronounced linear façade appearance. Natural variations in grain, colour and texture remain visible, giving each installation a distinctive character. The profiles can be installed in different orientations and combined with contrasting finishes or pre-weathered elements to create a variety of architectural expressions.

Installation is carried out using the Grad® QuickClip® system, which consists of aluminium support rails fitted with integrated fixing clips. The concealed fixing method eliminates visible fasteners, resulting in a clean and continuous façade surface. The system also accommodates perpendicular profile arrangements through the use of grooved aluminium connector blocks, avoiding the need for adhesives, screws or nails in these connections.

Designed according to circular construction principles, the cladding system can be dismantled using dedicated Grad® disassembly tools. This reversible installation method enables individual components to be removed, maintained, replaced or reused without damaging the surrounding façade, supporting adaptability throughout the building’s lifecycle.
