Loqa is a circular material design studio that develops architectural tiles and bricks made from approximately 80–95% upcycled waste. The studio focuses on transforming residual materials into functional building products with a reduced environmental footprint, supporting circular economy principles within architecture and interior design. The materials are designed for use by architects, designers, developers and other creative practitioners seeking alternatives to conventional ceramic and masonry products.

The collection includes fired and unfired tiles, glazed tiles, textured surfaces, bricks and special design elements. By incorporating high proportions of waste streams and optimising production processes, Loqa aims to reduce raw material extraction and lower energy consumption compared to traditional ceramic manufacturing. Unfired options further limit energy use, while fired and glazed variants are developed to balance durability, performance and aesthetic quality. The studio is certified climate neutral, indicating that its operational emissions are measured and compensated in line with recognised standards.

Visually, the tiles and bricks are characterised by variation in colour, texture and surface finish, reflecting the heterogeneous nature of the recycled inputs. Rather than uniformity, the materials emphasise an organic and tactile appearance, resulting in surfaces that express material transformation and reuse. This aesthetic approach allows the products to function both as building components and as expressive design elements within architectural and interior applications.
