Rumen leather is made of cattle stomach. The first two chambers, the rumen and the reticulum, are the largest of the four chambers of a cattle. The leather with small finger like papillae and folds, in addition to hexagonal honeycomb structure, gives a stunning effect that resembles fur. The leather is slightly translucent and resilient. The pieces measure 400 x 500 millimetres and are 3 millimetres thick.
