Treekind® is a low-carbon, waste-based leather alternative free of plastics and harsh chemicals for the mainstream market, made with green waste like autumn leaves and agricultural feedstocks like leaves and stalks. Treekind® is 100% biobased and is the only leather alternative that uses green waste. It is also free of plastic and rubber, rendering it compostable.

There is annually 6 million tonnes of green waste in the UK. Globally, there is 800 million tonnes (The World Bank) and 5.5 million tonnes of agricultural waste (Sustainable News).

Treekind® has been extensively ISO tested against animal leather requirements. A large part of the material development has been focused on the design of the material, to look and feel like leather.
