About this talk

Dirk Hoogeveen (1994) focuses on architectural interventions and installations. A lecture on an alternative approach for a renovation assignment of a forgotten theater in the heart of Brussels. A critique of the megalomaniac urge within architecture. The project explores the possibilities where an architectural design is the outcome of a narrative, rather than a rational process. Dirk is interested in the associative relationships of spaces and objects, and how these relate to the historical context. Dirk studies Architecture at Delft University of Technology.
