Julia Steketee is a designer and bio-based material researcher. Her practice combines traditional craftsmanship and natural building techniques with scientific methodologies and the principles of the circular economy. In 2024, she founded Bagaceira, a material research and design studio that explores how sugarcane waste (bagasse) can be transformed into materials and products for interior architecture and design.
