3D printed shoes made of one recyclable material

Italian luxury fashion brand Moncler collaborated with 3D printed footwear brand Zellerfeld to create a 3D printed version of its Trailgrip sneakers made of only one recyclable mono-material.

Zellerfeld is a company that 3D prints custom fit shoes, made from a 3D lattice with no stitching glue or weak points. They are said to be breathable, machine washable and odour resistant. Most importantly, they are made from a single material that is fully recyclable.

The Trailgrip trainers are Moncler’s signature shoe, and have been redesigned to be suitable for 3D printing. The shoes are set to be unveiled in Paris at the new edition of Studio Ascenti, the brand’s footwear exhibition. The limited edition Trailgrip 3D will be reserved exclusively for members of Moncler’s worldwide footwear community.
