Danish furniture brand Normann Copenhagen collaborated with design studio Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen to create a chair with a shell made of hemp and eelgrass.

Called the Mat Chair, the seat of the chair is made from hemp and eelgrass, a type of seaweed. The collection includes a dining chair with two shell typologies, a barstool in two heights, a bar chair in two heights, and a bar armchair in two heights, all available with a hemp shell or a hemp shell with added eelgrass, as well as with front or full upholstery.

All chairs are designed for disassembly. After use, the components can be recycled into new productions.
