Shoes made of recycled household aluminium foil
Munich-based footwear brand nat-2 designed vegan sneakers made from recycled post-consumer household aluminium foil.
Called Sleek Alchemist, the sneakers are made in collaboration with Israeli start-up Remeant, which turns (plastic) waste into textile. Earlier, the two brands collaborated to create a shoe made of bubble wrap.
In addition to aluminium foil, the shoes feature a real cork removable insole and are lined with nat-2’s bioceramic. The outer sole is real rubber. The heel and tongue have a smooth reflective glass surface. The shoes are handmade in Italy.
