Made a Mano Italia

Created in 2001, Made a Mano Italia is a company specialized in working and processing clay and lava stone.

The company was founded in Caltagirone, Sicily, a city with over 4000 years of history in the production of ceramics. It is located approximately 60 km from the Etna volcano, which is a unique and exclusive source of working material for the production of all Made a Mano Italia’s products.

These exclusive collections are the result of renowned traditions and the artistic experience of Made a Mano’s founder, Rosario Parrinello, who combines designs and colours of the Mediterranean with the best expressions of Oriental and African civilizations in order to project realizations of absolute minimalism that are typical of northern European civilization. All realizations give great prominence to the materials used.

Decorations are made freehand and colours, applied with a brush, and are made with ancient techniques. Each tile or artifact that comes out of Made a Mano Italia’s lab is a concentration of research and emotion. All production is based on lava stone from the Etna volcano, and includes a variety of refined products such as tiles, countertops, table tops, sinks, bathtubs, and furniture for both indoor and outdoor use. From a bench to a fireplace, lava stone achieves excellent outdoor and indoor technical performance.

In recent years, Made a Mano Italia has been distinguished by a continuous and ever more intense collaboration with great and leading designers, globally famous for their productions.
