About this material

Ready-to-use decorative boards faced with a velvety textile, a woven textile or recycled natural leather, for wardrobes, headboards and wall panelling.

Fabric is a range of decorative boards by Finsa that arrive with the covering already bonded to the panel. There are three surfaces: Suede, a textile with a soft, velvety feel; Linum, with the look and handle of a woven fabric; and Pelle, a leather covering made from recycled natural leather sourced from other industries.

Pelle feels warm to the touch and keeps the natural smell of leather, fats, waxes and latex. In close-up the leather shows a fine, even grain, while Linum has a visible woven structure. Because the textile or leather comes on the board, joiners skip the upholstery step: the panels are machined like other boards and fitted vertically. The surface has an anti-fingerprint finish.

Finsa recommends the range for wardrobes and dressing rooms – doors, drawers and interiors – and for headboards; it also lists wall panelling and partitions among the applications. Aluminium T and H profiles and loose sheets of each covering are available to finish edges and match adjoining upholstery. The colour chart has five Linum, five Suede and eight Pelle shades, from Arena to Petróleo.
