Vider

The elegant Vider is a flexible screen which is handmade in the Netherland. It weaves together soft and hard materials to achieve flexibility in addition to stability. Vider partitions any room with refined simplicity and is available in three finishes.

The Dutch company Winoldi harnesses the design expertise of Mark Jan Meerdink, and blends it with the commercial knowledge of Jan Willem de Laive to give shape to their  product. The elegant Vider is a flexible screen, which is handmade in the Netherlands, from materials, which guarantee a lifespan of more than thirty years. It weaves together soft and hard materials to achieve flexibility in addition to stability. The rubbers on top and bottom are tied to the aluminum to add stiffness and prevent slipping and scratching, while providing magnificently rounded curves.

The screen is suitable for indoor usage, but in any case, it is superbly weather resistant. So you can even take it out on the terrace for that romantic dinner, and be sure you are safe from the prying eyes. It can measure up to 10 meters wide, but the company designs custom ones too, meeting the requirements of their clients, be it for a home, office or a hotel. Three finishes are available: Mint and Champagne play with transparency and reflection, where as the Classic is more rugged and contrasting. Designer Mark Jan Meerdink has a background in both sculpture and art direction, which is evident in Vider’s mix of construction and graphing. The aluminium and rubber weave gives the screen body and flexibility: it can be placed in any desirable curve or S-shape. Rubber edges prevent sliding and when rolled up into a column of only 20cm in diameter and weighs 25kg.
